Social Leverage Portfolio Company Robin Healthcare Raises $50 Million to Scale the Team and Expand Offerings to Physicians Nationwide

Social Leverage is proud to announce the Series B funding of $50 million for Fund III portfolio company Robin Healthcare. Since our investment at the end of 2017, the team has made incredible headway in bringing world-class expertise in using artificial intelligence solutions that allow doctors and patients to get the most out of their time together. This funding round will enable Robin to expand its services into new markets, and provide investments in engineering, product, and sales teams. Social Leverage participated in the round, which was led by Scale Venture partners, and included support from Khosla Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners, Meridian Street Capital, and IA Ventures.

As I wrote about when we first invested in the company’s seed round, I've known co-founder Noah since 2012.  Noah and Emilio have assembled an incredible team of experts who are taking their knowledge of the old world and applying it to the new paradigm.

Robin Healthcare is disrupting the complex administrative rules burdening doctors and frustrating patients with their Robin Assistant™, which uses cutting edge technology to generate the documentation required by insurers and regulators. The system is HIPAA-compliant and uses 256-bit encryption to protect patient data. Doctors can seamlessly integrate data into electronic medical records, saving time, reducing risk, and allowing them to spend more time with patients.

I recently sat down with CEO Emilio Galan to discuss how the company is looking to fundamentally shift the broken aspects of the US healthcare system by untangling the complexity of entrenched systems while adhering with regulatory compliance. Emilio has taken on the challenge of bringing together data, devices, and software, in an industry that is incredibly resistant to change.

We're very excited to have the additional expertise provided by Scale and Khosla, as well as the necessary funding to continue to heavily invest in the business for the long term.  Robin Healthcare is hiring!
